The bankruptcy of Cinkciarz.pl has entered a key phase. November 26 at midnight is the deadline for submitting receivables to the trustee via the National Register of Debts (KRZ).. This is the last moment for customers of the online currency exchange office to formally join the bankruptcy proceedings and fight for the return of their money. The highest reported amounts amount to over PLN 1 million.

They are happening in parallel two separate proceedings: criminal,conducted by the prosecutor’s office in Poznań,and bankruptcy,which is to determine the extent to which creditors will recover their funds.

In the application form in the KRZ,the creditor must indicate the amount of the claim,the currency and evidence of the existence of the claim. This is a challenge for many customers because they no longer have access to their accounts on the Cinkciarz website – access has been blocked. However,evidence may include,for example,transfer confirmations or correspondence with the company. On this basis,the trustee will prepare a list of receivables.

After the application deadline The trustee will take over the key role. His task will be to verify all applications and determine the actual bankruptcy estate. The trustee,Łukasz Grenda,is currently preparing a general report on the state of the bankruptcy estate,which is to be submitted by the end of the week and will show the first findings regarding the company’s assets.

Prosecutor’s office investigation

The former president of the company is currently wanted by Interpol with a red noticewhich will facilitate his extradition from the United States. However,the injured parties are not waiting passively – the association of creditors has published a petition to the Minister of Justice,Waldemar Żurek,in which they demand that the extradition of Marcin Pióro be accelerated. The signatories emphasize that the escape of the former president is a symbol of impunity and evidence of the state’s failure to protect the interests of citizens and the proceeds of crime. 61 people signed the petition.
