On April 23, 2025 Dongying Culture and Tourism Promotion Conference, themed "Ecological Dongying, where the Yellow River Meets the Sea", was held at the Silvercord in Hong Kong. The event, hosted by the Dongying Municipal Culture and Tourism Bureau, has invited nearly a hundred guests including participants of Hong Kong tourism industry, members of research institutions, media reporters and citizen representatives.

During the event, Dongying’s cultural and tourism promotion officer led Hong Kong guests to tour Dongying City online, using ecological and cultural elements to refresh Hong Kong citizens' understanding of Dongying, the city where Yellow River flows into the sea. In addition, the Dongying Sports Bureau promoted the 2025 Yellow River Estuary (Dongying) International Marathon and the National Pickleball Tour, Dongying District showcased petroleum culture and Lyu Opera art, Kenli District promoted sea-hunting and agricultural tourism products, and the Yellow River Estuary Ecological Tourism Area released new ecological research products.

The Dongying Municipal Culture and Tourism Bureau and China Tourism Association of Hong Kong officially signed the "Strategic Cooperation Agreement on High-Quality Development of Cultural and Tourism Industry" on site, marking a new stage in the cultural and tourism cooperation between the two places.

The conference also featured interactive sessions such as making lacquer fans, an intangible cultural heritage, and sampling the Yellow River delicacies, allowing Hong Kong citizens to personally experience the cultural warmth and humanistic sentiments of Dongying.

This meeting is not only an important step for Dongying to expand the Hong Kong and Macao markets, but also a new starting point for the cultural and tourism cooperation between the two places. Dongying will continue to deepen its cultural and tourism cooperation with Hong Kong, allowing more tourists to witness the magnificent scene of the Yellow River flowing into the sea.
