TURFAN,China,Feb. 27,2025 --On February 27,in the vineyard of Yuwangkel Village,Shanshan County,Turfan City,villagers were conducting grape rack transformations under the meticulous guidance of agricultural technicians. Adjacent to the 10 kV Azati line,power company employees were diligently working on equipment upgrades to ensure reliable electricity supply for the grape rack transformation and subsequent grape planting operations.
In 2024,Turfan City completed the transformation of 60,000 mu of grape racks,including 32,000 mu in Shanshan County and 28,000 mu in Gaochang District. Post-transformation,the quality of grapes has markedly improved,and the level of mechanized operations has significantly increased. For 2025,Turfan City plans to transform an additional 60,000 mu of grape racks.
According to official statistics,the total area of grape cultivation inTurfan City exceeds 630,000 mu,with an anticipated completion of 390,000 mu of grape rack transformations by the end of 2025. To support agricultural development in Turfan City,State Grid Turfan Power Supply Company invested 360 million yuan in 2024 to construct 219 kilometers of new agricultural distribution network lines and add 13.47 MW of new distribution capacity. In 2025,the company will further invest 278 million yuan to build 518 kilometers of new agricultural distribution network lines and add 690 kW of new distribution capacity,ensuring adequate electricity supply for agricultural activities.
