AKSU,China,Nov. 26,2024 -- In order to further improve the reliability and stability of the power grid in remote areas,the State Grid Aksu Power Supply Company organized the first microgrid demonstration project review seminar in the region on November 25. The purpose of this meeting is to discuss the feasibility of microgrid construction in remote areas,and to determine the pilot construction in Kuqa area,so as to promote the upgrading and optimization of local power grids.

Microgrid is a small-scale distribution point system composed of distributed power sources,energy storage devices,energy conversion devices,loads,monitoring and protection devices,etc. This kind of system can be connected to the grid under normal conditions,and when the large grid fails,it can quickly switch to isolated grid operation to ensure continuous power supply to important users. State Grid Aksu Power Supply Company plans to explore the application potential of microgrids in remote areas through a pilot project in Kuqa. At the review and discussion meeting,the company focused on the current situation and challenges of power supply and demand in remote areas,and deeply analyzed the important role of microgrid construction projects such as "wind,solar and water storage" in solving these problems. The meeting also conducted a detailed discussion on the project site selection,layout and access scheme,and conducted extensive exchanges on the technical path,economic benefits and social benefits of microgrid construction.

State Grid Aksu Power Supply Company said that the review seminar clarified the direction and path of microgrid construction,and reached a consensus on the importance,load characteristics and construction significance of microgrid demonstration projects in Kuqa area. Next,the company will accelerate the follow-up construction of the project to ensure that the project can be put into operation as soon as possible and provide a strong guarantee for the power supply in remote areas.
