Recently, Jining Culture and Tourism Bureau in Shandong Province, China, has launched a major travel promotion campaign exclusively for Australian tourists — the “ Scenic Spots & Accommodation” Preferential Policy.

From January 2026 to March 2026, Australian tourists who stay overnight at hotels in Jining with valid entry documents can visit the "Three Confucian Sites" (Confucian Temple, Confucius Family Mansion, and Confucius Cemetery) for free.

About the "Three Confucian Sites"

As one of China's first batch of 5A-level tourist attractions, the "Three Confucian Sites" are the core birthplace of Confucian culture and a must-visit destination for Australian tourists seeking to understand China's fine traditional heritage. This free admission policy aims to invite Australian visitors to experience the charm of China's fine traditional culture up close.

Required documents

From January 1st to March 31st, 2026, eligible Australian tourists can enjoy free admission to the "Three Confucian Sites" upon verification at the ticket office. They are required to present their passports and the original paper accommodation transaction slip or invoice from a Jining hotel (for the check-in or check-out date), which must include key information such as the guest’s name and room number, and bear the hotel’s official seal.

Note: Only one entry is allowed during the period.

Important reminders

This policy only exempts eligible tourists from the admission fees for the "Three Confucian Sites".
